These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the V1 Logbooks mobile application ("the App", "the Service"), provided to you subject to the following terms. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 16 years old to use V1 Logbooks. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. We do not independently verify your age at signup and rely on this representation.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
V1 Logbooks is a personal flight-logbook tool that helps you record flight time, credentials, and currency, and — at your option — prepare and submit flight entries to DGCA's eGCA portal. The App is a record-keeping aid for your personal use. It is not an official DGCA system, and DGCA's own records remain the authoritative source of truth for your licensing and flight-time status.
The App may automatically download and apply software updates between app-store releases, to deliver fixes and improvements without requiring you to manually update through Google Play or the App Store. These updates are limited to the App's own code and do not access data beyond what the App already has permission to use.
You retain ownership of the flight data, images, and other content you enter into or upload to the App ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (including, where you request it, submitting Your Content to DGCA's eGCA portal or to Google's AI service to extract data from a scanned image, as described in our Privacy Policy).
When you log details about crew, instructors, or examiners you flew with, you represent that you have a lawful basis to record that information (see Privacy Policy, Section 2).
V1 Logbooks is an independent, third-party application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by DGCA. The "Upload to eGCA" feature automates entering your flight data into DGCA's own official web portal using credentials you provide and control. You are responsible for ensuring your use of this feature complies with DGCA's own terms of use for the eGCA portal. We are not responsible for the availability, behaviour, or content of DGCA's systems, and any dispute regarding a submitted eGCA entry is between you and DGCA.
New accounts receive a 60-day free trial from the date the trial starts. Student pilots (as recorded in your profile) are not placed on the 60-day clock — instead, you retain free access until you either log 250 hours of flight time in the App or hold a current Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), whichever happens first; the standard 60-day trial then begins.

The App, its design, code, and branding are the property of V1 Logbooks and its licensors. Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CALCULATIONS, TOTALS, OR EGCA SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR ACCEPTED BY DGCA. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY VERIFYING YOUR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, V1 LOGBOOKS AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LICENCE, OR EMPLOYMENT ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, INCLUDING ANY ERROR IN A FLIGHT-TIME CALCULATION OR AN EGCA SUBMISSION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time via the in-App account-deletion feature. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon account deletion, Your Content is permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email before taking effect. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
